Best SEO Techniques That Can Help Catch Google’s New Algorithms

The Supreme Importance of Using a Well Thought Out SEO Strategy

SEO Strategy

People use Google to conduct over 3.5 billion searches every day . However, these numbers are almost meaningless if you don't get to the top ten of the ranking list on Google's first page. In fact, research has shown that an overwhelming number of people (over 75%) don't even bother going beyond the first page.

It is crucial to ensure that your website ends up ranking in the first two pages of the search engine, and this is the best way to ensure that you get greater online visibility. And, of course, the more people are able to see what you offer, the more the traffic to your site, and conversely more conversions and higher revenues overall.

It is possible to reach the coveted top ten with the help of search engine optimization (SEO) techniques. However, not all SEO activities are created equal, and what used to work before might not work today.

Google's parent company Alphabet is constantly fine tuning the search engine's algorithms to ensure a more rewarding experience to the visitor. As of now, large meta descriptions, meta tags, and keyboard stuffing measures are now considered obsolete.

Let us take a quick look at these new SEO techniques that can help you increase your ranking:

Keywords: Quality Over Quantity Is the Key

Instead of using ten small keywords in a 500-word blog, you should consider using one or two long tail keywords at a time. If you use the exact same keywords multiple times, Google will take your article as clickbait and demote it accordingly.

Concentrate on the Meta Details

Many website owners either ignore the meta details on their blogs or simply don’t know how to use them correctly. If you want your site to figure prominently in SEO searches about your content, you should use an engaging meta title as well as meta description. It would be a good idea to include your keyword in the meta description while keeping the overall size between two and three lines at most. This will give people a reason to click on your blog.

Use Shorter Sentences and Plenty of Headings

You should refrain from using long sentences. If it is absolutely necessary, try to limit them to one or two sentences per blog. Similarly, format your article in such a way that your paragraphs don’t exceed four to five lines at most.

Finally, consider using plenty of headings with catchy phrases so that the reader will want to delve deep into your blog. This will reduce your bounce rate (when visitors click on your site and leave within a few seconds) and increase engagement levels.

Google is monitoring your site and if it thinks that your website offers engaging content, it will reward you by upgrading your ranking. On the other hand, higher bounce rates will lead to an automatic demotion in the search engine's rankings.
